Come learn skateboard skills, and so much more…

After School Skate Club will teach kids how to skateboard and so much more. Kids will learn about skate culture, history, terminology, and most importantly about how to foster and grow a healthy skate community!

Each week a different topic will be explored and discussed before and after an hour of group skate instruction. Topics will include things like the career history of various pros, history of trick names, important moments in women’s skateboarding, and more. We will discuss how to be a positive force in skateboarding while building our own self-confidence and supporting other people.

This program is open to kids ages 7-14 or kids currently attending 2nd-8th grade. Younger kids are welcome on a case by case basis. Please contact us if you have a younger kid who is interested.

This program is geared at kids who already know the basics of standing and pushing on the board. If your kid still needs to learn how to stand and push, we recommend taking a lesson or a skateboarding 101 class first.

This program will be sharing skate space with those at the park for open skate so kids should feel comfortable being around the general public while skating. Before and after skating, the club will meet in the back room at Stronger. The group will skate together with at least one coach for about 60 minutes of the 90 minute program. Kids are welcome to be dropped off prior to the start of class at 4:30. Please pick up by 6:15.
